What "Know Your Customer" means

Know Your Customer (KYC) represents the established procedure through which financial institutions validate that a customer is a genuine, identifiable individual and that the details supplied during the registration process are correct.

In practice, KYC at Visaya Capital means we collect and confirm a small set of basic facts about you: your full legal name, your date of birth, your country of residence, your contact details and the payment method you intend to use. We compare the details you typed into the sign-up form with the details shown on the documents you upload.

What we do not do

We will never solicit your internet banking credentials, your complete card PIN, or administrative permissions on your computer. Our staff members will under no circumstances ask for these items. Should any communication request these, it did not originate from us and must be flagged via the complaint system.

Timing

How long a check takes

The majority of comprehensive applications are processed in a span of hours up to two working days. Applications requiring additional examination, translation services or supporting materials may require extended processing duration.

Turnaround duration is influenced by request volume, document quality standards and whether supplementary identity verification protocols are activated. The expected processing period for your profile, alongside the current status of all submitted materials, is accessible in your profile dashboard - this stated timeline supersedes any other timeframe mentioned.

  • Legible, thorough, unaltered submissions receive priority handling.
  • Applications made beyond regular working hours are placed in queue for processing on the subsequent business day.
  • Comprehensive screening, if necessary, will require additional time and will be communicated directly to you.
Troubleshooting

Why a check can be rejected

A document denial typically reflects a documentation issue, not a determination concerning your qualifications. In the majority of instances, you may resubmit the material and approval is granted upon resubmission.

ReasonHow to fix it
Image blurred, cropped or glare-coveredRetake in natural light, positioned flat on a contrasting background, ensuring all edges are visible.
Document expiredUpload a currently valid document.
Name or date of birth does not match the accountCorrect the account details, or explain a legal name change with supporting proof.
Proof of address too old or not in your nameProvide a recent qualifying document issued to you at your registered address.
Payment method belongs to a third partyUse an instrument in your own name - third-party funding is not accepted.
File edited, cropped to hide data, or a screenshot of a screenDeliver an unaltered scanned copy or PDF of the original file.
Residence in an excluded jurisdictionThe account cannot be opened; see our licensing page for the general position.

If a decision is unclear to you, contact support and ask for the reason. Where the law permits us to explain, we will.

Rationale

Why verification is required

  1. 01

    Legal obligation

Services that hold or transmit client funds are generally required to identify their clients before providing the service. This is not optional and applies to every account without exception.

  2. 02

    Protecting your money

Verification ties an account to one identifiable owner. It makes account takeover far harder, and it means withdrawals can only be sent back to a payment method proven to belong to you.

  3. 03

    Keeping the platform clean

Screening keeps sanctioned parties and anonymous shell activity off the platform, which protects every other client using it.

  4. 04

    Faster payouts later

An account verified up front does not have to stop for checks at withdrawal time, which is when delays are least welcome.

Documents

Which documents are accepted

We ask for up to three categories of document. Files should be colour images or PDFs, fully in frame, unedited, with all four corners and all text legible.

1. Identity document

A government-issued document that shows your photograph, full name, date of birth, document number and expiry date. Commonly accepted types are a passport, a national identity card, or a driving licence where it is issued as a photographic identity document. The document must be valid and not expired.

2. Proof of address

A current document, normally generated in the preceding several months, containing your full name and your home location matching your registered profile. Standard options include a utility bill, a financial statement or credit card statement, a municipal or property tax notice, or an official communication from a government entity. Postal delivery addresses and residential addresses that do not belong to you cannot be used.

3. Proof of payment method

Documentation confirming the funding source belongs to your ownership. For a credit or debit card, this typically means a photo of the card displaying your name, the first half and final four numbers and the validity period, while covering the middle numbers and the three-digit code. For a bank transfer, a bank statement or official confirmation in your name displaying the account reference is required. For a digital payment service, a profile screenshot displaying your name and the service account reference.

Formats and file size

Upload limits, accepted file types and any additional document requests are shown in the verification area of your account. Documents in a language other than the account language may require a translation; the compliance team will tell you if that applies.

Ongoing controls

Ongoing transaction monitoring

Verification is not a one-time event. Accounts and transactions are monitored for as long as the relationship lasts.

What is monitored

Transaction history, changes in funding methods, geographic relocation or modification of communication information, behavior inconsistent with your initial profile, and transactions identified as concerning by our compliance systems.

What can happen as a result

  • A demand for current identification or a clarification regarding the origin of deposited money.
  • A suspension of a particular transaction pending verification.
  • Modification of the spending thresholds displayed in your profile.
  • Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.

Records

Customer identification records and account activity documentation are maintained for the term mandated by governing regulations following termination of the relationship, and are managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In certain circumstances the law prevents us from telling a client that a report has been made.

Your side

Your obligations

  • Give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • Use only your own funds and your own payment instruments - never someone else's.
  • Keep one account only, and keep your credentials private.
  • Respond to document requests within the timeframe stated in the request.
  • Tell us promptly if you change country of residence, legal name or payment method.
  • Report any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.

The submission of forged or doctored identification constitutes a significant violation. This action results in profile deactivation and, where required by governing law, communication to the appropriate supervisory agency.

Definition

What "anti-money laundering" means

Anti-money laundering (AML) is the set of internal controls a financial service uses to prevent its platform from being used to move the proceeds of crime, to finance illegal activity, or to disguise the true origin of funds.

AML controls extend beyond a single identity verification. They encompass profile assessment for newly opened accounts, exclusion list verification and high-risk individual identification, oversight of unusual deposit sources, documentation retention, internal notification of potentially fraudulent conduct and, where mandated by governing rules, notification to the relevant regulatory body.

Where AML rules and a client instruction conflict, the AML rules take priority. That can mean a delayed transaction, a request for additional documents, or a restricted account until the matter is resolved.

Process

The verification steps

  1. 01

    Register

Create the account with your real legal name, date of birth, country of residence, email and phone number. Details that do not match your documents are the most common cause of delay.

  2. 02

    Confirm contact details

Confirm your email address and, where requested, your phone number. This proves the contact channels belong to you.

  3. 03

    Upload your identity document

Upload the pages that carry your photograph and personal data. Some checks include a short liveness or selfie step to confirm the document belongs to the person holding it.

  4. 04

    Upload proof of address

Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.

  5. 05

    Confirm the payment method

Furnish documentation for the payment method used to make deposits and obtain refunds.

  6. 06

    Screening and review

Our compliance team reviews the file, runs the required sanctions and risk screening, and either approves the account or asks for a correction.

  7. 07

    Confirmation

You receive a notification once the account status changes. The current status is always visible in the verification area of your account.

Support

Where to ask questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know the exact status of your own verification, ask us before uploading again.

Who reviews my documents?

A trained compliance reviewer. Files are stored on restricted systems, and access is limited to staff who need it for the check.

Can I start before I am verified?

Registration and account exploration are available, however deposit transactions, trading activities and withdrawal processing require the verification level reflected in your profile.

Do I have to verify again later?

Conceivably. Credentials become outdated, residential situations evolve and periodic document renewal constitutes standard AML procedure. You will be notified in the event documentation renewal is necessary.

How do I contact the compliance team?

Use the contact route on our contact page and mention "KYC" or "verification" in your message, together with the email address on your account. Please do not send document images by unsecured channels - upload them in the account area instead.

Licenses & regulatory information

Before you upload

Get verified once, cleanly

Ninety per cent of delays come from three things: a blurred photo, an out-of-date address document, and a payment method in someone else's name. Fix those and most checks pass first time.

Need help with a document?

Our customer service department can specify which document submission was denied and provide the reason for the rejection.

  • Check the verification area of your account first.
  • Then contact support with your registered email address.
